Event Description

We're honored to host psychodelic/folk wonderboy, Israel Nash, for his triumphant return to the U.S. and Texas on February 18th. Coming off a whirlwind tour of Europe over the last couple months, we're so pumped that Israel has decided to come jam on our Unplugged stage this winter season.

Anyone who listens to KUTX 98.9--or any other NPR station, for that matter-- has probably caught an earful of Mr. Nash at some point in recent years. Both his latest album, "Silver Season" (2015), and the one preceding it, "Rain Plains" (2014), have been National Public Radio favorites. Silver Season's, "L.A. Lately" was honored by the radio conglomerate in a mention on their exclusive list, "NPR's Favorite Song's of 2015." Come this February and hear why the Austin Chronicle featured Nash in its December 16th issue, and what the experts hear in Israel: what correspondent Dave Michael's calls, "A Harvest era-soundalike for the 21st century that transcends its Laurel Canyon feel from an amazing singer-songwriter." And yes, for you die hard Neil Young fans--we on The Porch believe that this stuff is worthy of the comparison.
